QuickTime Player isn't just for playing movies; you can also use it to create videos, screencasts, and record from your iPhone or iPad. It is a great way to create videos or mini-tutorials for students.

To Create a Movie Recording

-Open QuickTime Player

-Select File-new movie recording

-Select the red circle to begin recording

To Create a Screen Recording

-Open QuickTime Player

-Select File-new screen recording

-Select the red circle

-Choose to record the entire screen or drag the crosshairs to only record part of the screen.

To Record From Your iPad or Show Your iPad Screen

-Open QuickTime Player

-Select new movie recording

-Select the name of the device you would like to record from

-The screen of that device will appear on your screen

-Click the red circle to record

-Follow these same steps to show your iPad and just don't select record
